You may brew beer using malt and grains in different ways, but here we will discuss a simple beer recipe using malt extracts.
The main ingredients required for Saison Beer Recipe are:
- l Briess Golden Light Malt Extract
- l Gervin English Ale Yeast
- l 250g Brown Sugar
- l Goldings Hops
Procedure:
- Step 1 – First, boil around three litres of water and add the malt extract and sugar to it. Stir the mixture to dilute sugar into it.
- Step 2 – Add wort into the boiler and let it boil up to a rolling boil point.
- Step 3 – Once the mixture starts boiling, add hops and 60g of Golding hops.
- Step 4 – Allow hops to boil for up to an hour. It is enough time for hops to extract oils that give sweet bitterness to the beer. If you like bitter beer, let it boil for 1 hour and 15 minutes or more if you want.
- Step 5 – Now is the time to cool down your wort as soon as possible. You need to empty wort from the boiler into a fermenting vessel. Also, use a wort cool for cooling down the mixture.
- Step 6 – When the beverage gets around 25 degrees Celsius, pitch yeast and stir the mixture to bring oxygen back into the wort.
- Step 7 – Now, let the wort ferment for 24-48 hours.
Using this simplest saison beer recipe, you can easily prepare beer at home without the need for grains. You may even experiment with some other ingredient combinations, such as orange zest, vanilla, cocoa, etc. to make unique and amazing brews of your choice.
